It is our hope at Penguin Rep Theatre that each of you is in good health. All of us are heartbroken not to be able to gather extraordinary actors, designers, playwrights and staff to create unforgettable “live” theatre productions for you.

During these trying times perhaps you are planting that neglected garden, doing household repairs, Netflix-ing, reading those overlooked novels, trying new recipes, connecting with family and friends in new ways – or, most importantly, looking more closely into ourselves.

More than ever, I am keenly aware of the importance and need for communal  gatherings, sharing stories, meeting unique characters, and stirring laughter, tears and conversation.

We at Penguin Rep remain dedicated to bringing you entertaining and thoughtful new works. We are planning productions and readings of new plays and maintaining our beautiful barn theatre for when the time is right to meet again and celebrate the joy and impact of “live” theatre.

In our 40-year history of professional theatre, we have overcome many challenges and are  thankful for your encouragement and, in this case, patience.

With your continued support, we shall survive and thrive.
